A QR code for your open house: sign-in today, the listing tomorrow

A QR code for an open house should open your visitor sign-in form during the event and the listing page after it ends. A date rule does that switch for you, so the flyers and door sign keep working long after the visitors have gone home.

Visitors fill in their own details, which beats trying to read handwriting on a clipboard.

One QR code, the right page
  • Sat 2pm to 4pmVisitor sign-in
  • Under offerSimilar homes
  • Phone in SpanishSpanish listing
  • Everyone elseListing page

The under offer example is a change you make yourself when the status changes. The other rules run by themselves.

The clipboard loses leads, and the flyer goes stale

A paper sign-in sheet gives you half-legible emails, and plenty of visitors skip it. Meanwhile the flyers people take home point to information that stops being useful once the event is over.

A single QR code handles both moments: the sign-in while they are in the house, and the details when they look at the flyer that evening.

Set it up in three steps

  1. 1

    Create your sign-in form

Make a short form in the tool you already use, like Google Forms or your CRM. HueQR doesn't collect the sign-ins itself, it sends people to your form.

  2. 2

    Add a date rule

Point the QR code at your listing, then add a date rule that opens the sign-in form on the day of the open house.

  3. 3

Print it for the door and flyers

Use the same QR code on the door sign, the kitchen counter card and every flyer, so all scans are counted together.

Where visitors will actually scan

Put the first QR code at the door with a line like Scan to sign in, and a second copy on the counter where people gather. Print at least 10 cm wide for anything read from a few steps away.

When the sale is done, reuse the same printed door sign for your next open house by pointing the QR code somewhere new.

Questions

Can I reuse the QR code for my next open house?

Yes. Point it at the new listing and sign-in form, and update the date rule. A code's address stays fixed once scanned, but where it goes can always change.

Does HueQR store the visitors' details?

No. Your form or CRM stores them. HueQR counts scans by time, rough location and device.

Can I see how many people scanned?

Yes. Scans show up in your dashboard with the time and device, with bot scans filtered out.

Print it once, and keep it working

If you cancel, your QR codes keep redirecting for 14 days. Keep-alive keeps up to 10 of them on for good. A lapsed code shows a clean paused page, never an ad, and if HueQR ever closes you get 12 months' notice and a full export.
