Terms of service

HueQR is a QR code service at hueqr.com. These terms are a contract between you and HueQR. By creating an account or downloading a code you agree to them.

Static codes made in the free generator are yours. They carry the link inside the pattern, never expire, have no watermark, and do not depend on HueQR staying online. PNG downloads need no account. SVG and PDF downloads need a free account.

Dynamic codes point to a short link on hueqr.com or on your own domain, so you can change where they go after printing and see every scan. They need a Pro plan. Pro includes 100 dynamic codes and 50,000 scans a month. The scan limit is soft: we never stop a code from redirecting because of it. We email you at 80% and 100% and may talk to you about a plan that fits.

• Pro starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is taken up front and nothing is charged until day 15. We email you 3 days before the trial ends.
• Pro is billed in US dollars, monthly or yearly, through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Dodo handles sales tax and VAT and shows the final amount at checkout.
• Plans renew automatically. We email you 3 days before every renewal, and 7 days before a yearly one.
• If a payment fails, we email you and try again when you update your card. Your codes keep redirecting for 30 days meanwhile.

This is the product promise and we implement it exactly:

• Cancel in one click from Billing. Pro keeps working until the end of the paid period.
• For 30 days after that, every code keeps redirecting to its last destination. Editing and analytics are locked.
• After those 30 days, codes show a paused page. They never show an advert. Resuming Pro switches them straight back on.
• Keep-alive, $3 a month, keeps every code redirecting indefinitely without editing or analytics.

Email hello@hueqr.com within 14 days of a charge you did not mean to make and we refund it. Refunds go back through Dodo Payments to the original card and take 5 to 10 days to arrive.

Point codes at links you have the right to share. Do not use HueQR for phishing, malware, scams, spam, harassment, or anything illegal where you or the people scanning are. We check every destination against Google Safe Browsing when you save it and once a day after that. A flagged link is blocked automatically, people scanning see a safety notice, and we email you. We may suspend accounts that keep doing this.

Your codes, designs, links and scan data belong to you. We only use them to run the service. If you connect your own domain, you must control it, and you can remove it at any time. Codes on a removed domain move back to hueqr.com.

If we ever shut the service down, you get at least 12 months' notice and a full export of your codes, links and scan data, so you can move every printed code somewhere else.

We work to keep redirects fast and available around the clock, but we cannot promise the service is never interrupted. To the extent the law allows, HueQR is not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email you at least 14 days before the change applies. Continuing to use HueQR after that means you accept the new terms.
